How much do Scout tickets cost?
Discounted Scout tickets cost $5 per scout and $8 per adult / leader.
Note: A minimum of 10 total tickets must be pre- purchased to receive this discounted scout rate.
Parking is not included and is charged upon entry to the Arboretum at the rate of $10 per vehicle.

Who has to have a ticket?
Everyone over the age of three needs a ticket to enter the Arboretum. Tickets for siblings can also be pre-purchased for $5 each.

What happens if I need extra tickets?
Additional tickets can be purchased at the ticket booth on arrival for $15 per adult and $10 per child.

How do I purchase scout tickets?
Please complete a reservation form and submit it with payment at least two weeks prior to your visit. Your tickets will be mailed to you.

What is the minimum number of tickets we have to purchase?
A total of 10 tickets must be purchased to receive the discounted scout rate.

What is a self-guided visit?
You will explore the Arboretum at your own pace with your group.

I have never been to the Arboretum before. What do I need to do / bring?
Wear comfortable walking shoes. You will have 66 acres to explore!

Check the weather forecast and dress appropriately for the weather. The Arboretum is an entirely outdoor venue.

You are welcome to bring water / snacks/ picnics with you. Food and drinks are also available for purchase at the Arboretum.

Can you help me plan my visit?
Absolutely! Scott will provide help with giving suggestions for activities you can do at the Arboretum with Boy Scouts, and Jenny will assist with Girl Scouts. Jenny and Scott return phone calls and e-mails every Wednesday between 10:00am and 2:00pm. They can be reached at education@dallasarboretum.org or 214 515 6540.

Do you have instructor-led programs?
We will be offering instructor-led programs for Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts starting this summer. Check back with us for more information.

What do I do when we arrive?
On the day of your visit, present your pre-paid tickets at the ticket booth and pay for parking. You will be charged $10 parking per vehicle. You can also purchase additional tickets at the regular rate ($15 per adult and $10 per child) at this time.

What happens if the parking lot is closed when we arrive?
The Arboretum can be busy on weekends during the Spring Blooms Festival ( March 2nd – April 7th, 2013) and the parking lot can become full very quickly. Arriving early is a good option. However if the parking lot is closed when you arrive, you will be directed to off-site parking and a shuttle bus will bring you to the Arboretum.
