Here are a helpful hints for attending Cool Thursdays Encore Concerts at the Dallas Arboretum:

  • Concerts will start at 7:30pm and run until approximately 9:30pm. You may enter at any time during normal operating hours the day of the concert and will receive a wristband to allow you to stay for the concert.
  • Available parking is limited at the Dallas Arboretum. We strongly recommend that you carpool whenever possible to minimize traffic and parking congestion.
  • Parking in the neighborhoods immediately surrounding the Gardens is prohibited. Vehicles parked unlawfully may be ticketed and/or towed.
  • Please allow plenty of time before the concert for possible traffic and parking.
  • The Martin Rutchik Concert Stage and Lawn is located behind the Camp House on the north end of the property. You will need to allow time to walk from the entrance at the Crow Pavilion to the concert area. We will have trams running that evening for the mobility impaired and there will be signs and volunteers to direct you to the concert area the night of each performance.
  • You may bring picnic baskets, blankets and beach chairs to sit on. Beach chair legs should be 4 inches or less so that the view of those seated behind you is not obstructed. Those with taller chairs will be asked to move to the back of the concert lawn.
  • You may bring your own food and alcoholic beverages, however, we ask that you drink responsibly. Dallas Police will be present and will remove anyone who becomes disruptive.
  • Open flames are prohibited at the Arboretum, therefore, grills and candles of any kind, including citronella candles, are not allowed.
  • Concessions will be sold that evening and food service will be available from the Cafe on the Green near the concert lawn.
  • We are limiting the number of tickets sold for each concert, so we encourage you to buy tickets early to ensure availability.
Tickets may be purchased online or at the main public ticket booth.
A $2 handling fee will be charged on all online orders. Tickets ordered online will not be mailed. Print out your confirmation sheet; this will act as your ticket. The Arboretum is not responsible for lost or stolen tickets or season passes. If you loose your ticket or season pass you will have to purchase another one.
