Allen Garden Club:
This organization was created to educate the people in Allen and
surrounding areas about natural gardening practices, the benefits of
gardening, encouraging people to conserve our natural resources, and
exemplify public spirit by participation in community service projects.
The club is affiliated with Texas Garden Clubs, Inc. and National Garden
Clubs, Inc. Meetings are held at 7:30pm on the first Thursday of each
month, February - December.

Collin County Hobby Beekeepers Association:This group is active in the state beekeepers
association. Meetings are held at 7 p.m. the second Monday of
each month at the Heard Museum of Natural History, One Nature Way, McKinney.
Activities: Annual beginning beekeeping seminar and presentations to schools,
social clubs, and civic organizations.

Collin County Rose Society:
This society has three goals: to provide an organization where rose lovers can
share their interest in roses, to educate the community on growing good roses,
and to share the beauty of roses with the community by establishing a public
garden. Meeting topics also include composting, companion planting, drip
irrigation, and garden design. Meetings are held on the first Friday of each
month.
Activities: "It's a Natural" event in Plano, garden tour, plant-cuttings
exchange, spring education events at local nurseries, sponsor of the Chestnut
Square Wedding Chapel Garden in McKinney.

Heritage Herb Club of Plano:
This club has members
who range from novices to experts. Meetings are held the third Sunday of each
month.
Activities: Scholarships, education programs, annual plant and seed exchange,
and hands-on workshops.

McKinney Garden Club:
Organized in 1930, this club focuses on promoting interest in gardens, garden
designs and management, and assistance with civic plantings. Meetings are held
at 11:30 a.m. the second Tuesday of each month September through May at
Heard-Craig Carriage House,
205 W. Hunt St., McKinney.
Activities: Chapel Garden at Historic Chestnut Square and the Garden Restoration
Project at the Historic Heard-Craig Home, both in McKinney.

Native Plant Society of Texas, Collin County Chapter:
This organization focuses on learning about native Texas
plants and water-wise plants. Meetings are held at 7:30 p.m. the first Tuesday
of each month at the Heard Natural Science Museum, One Nature Place, McKinney.
Activities: Field trips, plant rescue digs, informational programs and
assistance to groups that want to make use of native plants.
