Brookhaven Garden Club:
This organization promotes gardening, conservation and learning better methods

Dallas North Garden Forum:
This organization is made up of 22 garden clubs in North Dallas and surrounding areas and individuals from those clubs.
The focus is on gardening, horticulture, floral and landscape design and
environmental sciences. Meetings are held the second Monday of each month,
August through May.
Activities: Supports area garden club projects, aids in conservation, and
encourages improvement of roadsides and parks.

Dallas Organic Garden Club: This club was
organized in 1993 to share the organic method of gardening through speakers,
tours, and participation in garden and nursery events. Meetings are held at 7
p.m. the fourth Thursday of each month, January though October, at North Haven
Gardens, 7700 Northaven Road.
Activities: Hosts fund raisers to pay for speakers and to make donations to
organizations such as the East Dallas Community Gardens.

Dallas Rose Society:
The Society is chartered by the American Rose Society and consists of amateur
rose growers and enthusiasts. Meetings are held at 7 p.m. the fourth Friday of
each month at North Haven Gardens.

Day Lily Grower of Dallas:
This group, organized in 1958, meets to learn about
day lilies and to promote the flowers through shows and sales. Meetings are
held at 10 a.m. on the third Saturday, September through May at North Haven Gardens.
Activities: Hosts a Day Lily Flower Show on the first weekend in June, and
spring and fall plant sales at North Haven Gardens.

First Men’s Garden Club
of Dallas: This organization, founded in 1941, is affiliated with the
Men's Garden Clubs of America. Its focus is on horticultural education,
community service, and scholarship programs. Meetings are at 7 p.m. the third Tuesday of
each month at North Haven Gardens.
Activities: Scholarships for horticultural students at Richland College and
Naaman Forest High School; community landscape project for a group home; flower
and vegetable gardening shows, monthly gardening seminars, volunteer work and
fundraisers, a plant sale at Richland College, and a garage sale.

Fleur-de-lis Garden Club of Sachse:

This club was organized to improve members' gardens and to beautify the Forest
Hills neighborhood. Membership is limited to the neighborhood, but visitors are

Four Seasons Garden Club :
This Lake Highlands-area club was founded in 1971. Meetings are held the second
Thursday of each month September through May.
Activities: Annual pilgrimage, biannual flower show, and party.

Good Street Baptist
Church Senior and Junior Garden Clubs :
Groups for ages 3-17 and ages 18 and up focus on horticulture, gardening, table
setting, and floral design. Meetings are held the fourth Sunday evening of each

Orchid Society :
This Society was founded in 1948 for anyone interested in growing orchids.
Meetings are held at 7 p.m. the first Friday of each month at the
Dallas Water Utilities Building, 8915 Adlora Lane. They have plants for sale at the meetings.
Activities: Orchid show and sale every 18 months, orchid auctions at July and
December meetings.

Ikebana International :
This organization studies Japanese flower arrangement and also incorporates
related programs on plants or pottery. Meetings are held the third Thursday
morning bimonthly September through May at Brook Hollow Country Club.

field trip per year.

Garland : This
group, organized in 1965, is a member of the White Rock Garden Forum and the
Federation of Women's Clubs of Garland. The group’s purpose is to encourage
gardening, beautification, conservation, and study of horticulture and flower
arranging. Membership limited to 25. Meetings are held the second Tuesday of
each month September through May.

gifts for Terrell State Hospital.

Texas, Dallas Chapter : This group aims to educate the community about
native plants. Meetings are held at 7pm the 2nd Tuesday of each month

Texas, Garland Chapter :
This group helps preserve the blackland prairie by planting Texas natives in
their own gardens. Meetings are held at 3 p.m. on the third Sunday every other
month, January through November. Location of meeting is at Rohde's Nursery &
