Colorful Ways to Honor Your Loved Ones                                                                        The Blooming Beds programs offer a wonderful opportunity to honor a friend, family member or group, or remember a loved one with a long-lasting gift.

 The Blooming Beds of Bulbs program offers a designated bed of colorful flowers to individuals or corporations, marked with signage on a 15-foot long area in the flower beds of the Dallas Arboretum. Our internationally acclaimed floral festival (where we order more bulbs per square foot than any place west of Holland) begins with the bed preparation in January. At that time, we plant bulbs for early, mid and late bloom; then cover the beds with pansies. Through the wonder of nature, these bulbs emerge in early March and continue through Dallas Blooms, ending mid-April. 

 Your sign will be placed on display in January and will remain through the completion of blooming in April. Many of our donors and recipients enjoy visiting the Arboretum throughout the festival to see how their area develops.  During the height of the bloom season in the spring, you and your honoree will be invited to join us for a reception in the gardens.

 The cost of one bed for current Dallas Arboretum members is $250 and $300 for non-members.  Your gift is tax-deductible.

 Blooming Beds of Color is available for year-round beds.  Dedicating a Blooming Bed of Year-round Color is $500 for members and $600 for non-members, and signage remains for a one-year period.
