Development Internship
The beautiful Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden, located on the shores of White Rock Lake in east Dallas, has a great opportunity for individuals interested in learning the world of non-profits and philanthropy. Job duties would include researching corporate community or foundation outreach and donor programs, preparing info for and writing some grants, collateral collection, attending relevant committee meetings and functions. Hours can vary during the workweek.

Public Relations Intern
Looking for a Public Relations Intern who is eager to learn, efficient, and reliable. Intern will assist in PR tasks including but not limited to: compiling press kits, sending out press releases, press follow-up, arranging interviews with press, monitoring media hits, and many other tasks. Experience in public relations is a plus, but not a requirement. Looking for an intern who is majoring in Public Relations, or a related field. This internship will give you opportunities to work on an array of projects, while learning skills related to PR and digital marketing. Internship is unpaid. College credit is not required but is accommodated. Required Hours: 15-20 hours a week. Internship to last 3 months.

Graphics Intern
Our Graphics Department is looking for a highly motivated individual to fill an unpaid intern graphics production artist position. Applicants should have a good eye for design and a working knowledge of Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign. Our internship program provides meaningful and challenging projects such as production skills to build press ready files and provides the opportunity to work on well-known publishing projects (magazines, newspapers & web design). Responsibilities include assisting the graphics designer in creating layouts for ads, newsletters, signs and other different projects, editing digital images, performing simple art direction, compositing images and creating basic artwork. While the intern will have some creative freedom, they must still follow the Arboretum's style guide and be consistent in the look of ads, newsletters, website and all print and digital media.
Candidates will have at least Sophmore status and be working towards a Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts with emphasis in Graphic Design, Interactive Media Design, Advertising or related degree.

Public Events Intern
Our Public Events Department is looking for an intern who is eager to develop skills in event management. Intern will assist Public Events Manger in tasks including but not limited to: stage preparation, vendor set-up, band arrival, sound level briefing, sound check, ticket area set-up, distribution of information, parking and guest arrival facilitation, overseeing volunteers, property lighting and other concert event activities. Experience in event coordination is a plus, but not a requirement. This internship will give you opportunities to learn skills related to successful event management. Internship is unpaid. College credit is not required but is accommodated. Required Hours: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3pm-10pm. Internship to last 3 months (May, June & July).

Summer Education Internship
If you are a college student and enjoy working with children, then this is the summer opportunity for you. Our Summer Education Interns will work in our fun and exciting children’s summer camps and participate in field trips, weekly meetings and presentations by experts from local not-for-profits. Eligible students are those who have completed at least one year of college. Experience working with children is a plus. Applications accepted through March 31s, and positions are filled on a rolling basis.

40 hours per week at $10 per hour
