Welcome to the Dallas Arboretum
Senior Community page.
The Arboretum is pleased to bring back the popular
Senior Citizen Thursdays with a $5 admission price for those 65 and
older and a 20% discount in the Hoffman Family gift shop. This is
effective all year long.
The garden is a showplace all year long but now that
Dallas Blooms has arrived, the Arboretum is a shining star of Texas. Our
gardens have never been so colorful with hundreds of thousands spring
blooms.
Our website tells of activities throughout the year.
This Dallas Blooms, however, we have sculptures of all shapes and sizes
on display from the Texas Sculpture Association. Inside the historic
DeGolyer home are Texas-themed exhibits on Mobil gas and oil from Dallas
Arboretum member Al Olsen; Stetson hats throughout the years from Hat
Country in Garland and a Texas Rangers history from The Texas Ranger
Museum and Hall of Fame. On the DeGolyer Pergola we have melodic tunes
on the keyboard from Noni Dressler each weekday and other entertainment
on the weekend.
Spring Teas at the Arboretum begins March 15 in the
DeGolyer Garden Cafe at 11:00 am and 2:00pm by reservation only. Tea is
equivalent to a light lunch and includes elegant tea sandwiches and
petite desserts. The cost is $32.95 per person and a Champagne Tea is
available at $41.25 per person. Reservations can be made by calling
214-515-6512. Luncheon service without reservation is available on the
Lula Mae Slaughter Dining Terrace at the Visitor Education Pavilion or
the loggia of the DeGolyer Home.
The Hoffman Family Gift Shop is fully stocked with all
kinds of wonderful, decorative accents for your home, garden or loved
ones. You can even shop late with new extended hours until 6pm. Remember
to ask for a senior discount of 20% if come in on Thursday.

has a limited number of wheelchairs available in the plaza so that more
