To Dye For: Shibori Fabric Dying
This ancient Japanese technique of dying fabric was once used to create
beautiful designs on kimonos. Linda Disosway, experienced fiber artist, will
show you how to create a one-of-a-kind work of art that you can wear or display.
Using resist dying techniques you will learn how to wind, bind and even stitch
your fabric to create beautiful designs on silk. No special artistic skills are
necessary and all supplies will be provided. January 26 from 12pm 3pm; $45

Color Pencil Mandalas
The mandala is a
sacred symbol used to symbolize wholeness. The beautiful creations can be seen
in nature and in ourselves. Terrie Meider, mandala artist and instructor, will
focus on the materials and techniques required to create your own work of art.
Using step-by-step shading and layering techniques, you will learn how to use
colored pencils to create a unique piece of art that pops with color and

Learn how to make
this stunning handmade birdbath to bring the songbirds to your garden. Lynn
will teach you slab construction methods to build and embellish your
birdbath. During the first week of class, you will design and construct your
birdbath. During the second week of class, you will finish embellishing and
glazing your birdbath. Each piece will be a unique work of art that you can

Painting the
Landscape with Pastels
Pastel painting is a wonderful past time that is both portable and fun. Join
Karen Vanderpool-Haerle, experienced artist and medical illustrator, as she
helps you develop an understanding of color and composition using pastels.
Learn the basic techniques of pastels from the beginning sketch to final pastel
painting.
Enjoy the
flexibility and tactile aspects of soft pastel while learning about
materials, composition and color blending. You will produce stunning results
when you learn to translate the landscape, still life and photographs by
layering the pastels to achieve different colors and light to produce stunning
results.
This class
is suitable for all skill levels all supplies will be provided.

Photography Basics
Join, Larry
Lourcey, award-winning photographer and owner of Lourcey Photography, as
he shows you how to get the most out of your digital camera in one of Dallas
most picturesque settings.. Larry will give you an overview of digital dos and
donts that include how to select the best settings for garden photography and
tips on exposure and composition. End your class with a brief walk through the
garden where Larry will point out great spots for photos. February 27 from

Mosaic Vase
Tap into your creative genius with this fun and exciting class on mosaics.
Robin Oldham, owner of Smashing Times, will walk you through the process
of creating a unique and beautiful mosaic vase. You will choose from a wide
variety of tumbled glass and colorful tiles to create your masterpiece. Class
size is limited, so register early and join us for a smashing good time! All

Stroke of Genius:
Watercolor
Brush up on
your painting skills in this fun two day workshop. Join Carol Vystrcil Scott,
award winning artist, as she introduces you to the wonderful world of watercolor
painting. During the first session, you will learn how to translate you vision
from the real world to the paper. By using photographs and still life, you will
begin the process of planning and sketching your work of art. During the second
session, you will practice your newly learned techniques as you see your
painting come to life. All levels of
painters are welcome to participate and will work with a variety of techniques,
mixed mediums and subjects, including florals and landscapes. Through
demonstration, discussion and critique, Carol will help you create your own work
of art and give you confidence to continue painting on your own. Supply list

Fine Silver Leaf
Pendant
Imagine being able to capture a piece of the garden and preserve it forever in
pure silver. Using Precious Metal Clay(PMC), Cheryl Lucas, owner of PMC Texas
and certified PMC instructor, will show you how to transform a piece of nature
into a stunning leaf pendant using leaves from the garden. Materials include
enough silver clay to make one to three pendants depending upon size. These
beautiful pendants make great gifts. If you have ever wanted to try your hand at
making silver jewelry, but didnt know where to start, this is the class for
you. No experience is necessary and all supplies will be provided. May 3 from
