Toddler classes:
Baby Bugs:   Ages 18-36 months with one parent SOLD OUT
Play and learn in nature with your toddler!  Paint with mud, hold a ladybug, plant a flower, create a cloud, and more!
Each class begins with song and story time, a craft, and nature objects to explore.  Then we will take a 20-minute walk to a garden location where the fun will continue with more hands-on activities and games. Closed toed shoes, a stroller, and water bottles for both parent and child are required. 

Registration fees include the series of four classes for one adult and once child. Choose a Tuesday or Friday series in June or a Friday series in July.

Little Critters: Age 3
Explore the world of squirrels, spiders, frogs and toads in this three-day camp designed specially for your youngest campers. Preschoolers will have fun exploring where each animal lives, discovering what it eats and investigating its life cycle.

This 3-day camp is for children who will be age 3 on or by June 1st 2013.
Half-day camps will be held from 9:00am – 12:00pm  June 4th, 5th & 6th, July 1st, 2nd &  3rd  and August.6th, 7th & 8th.
Cost: $110 members/ $125 non-members

Preschool and Kindergarten:
These camps run from Monday – Friday from 9:00am – 2:00pm. Pack a lunch!
Camps are designed for children entering Pre K or Kindergarten in Fall 2013 and who are age 4 or 5 on June 1st.
Members $155  / Nonmembers $170

Creature Feature:
Go wild about animals this summer! This all time favorite returns with new animals and activities. You will create a bughouse, go on a squirrel safari and build a giant spider web. Each day you will meet a new garden critter and go on walks, listen to stories, and enjoy snacks and crafts.
Week of June 3rd, June 17th, July 22nd and August 12.
NOTE: Mini Creature Feature camp will be held July 1st – 3rd from 9:00am – noon $100 members/ $115 Nonmembers

Science Explorers:
Young scientists will discover planet Earth in this exciting camp.  Investigate the power of the sun, discover the wonders of rocks and soil, and explore our watery world. Enjoy outdoor adventures as you unravel the mysteries of Earth.  
Week of June 10th, July 8th and July 29th.

Backyard Bugs
Crazy about bugs? Discover the good, the bad and the ugly creepy crawlies in your own backyard. Campers will explore the characteristics of insects, the metamorphosis of a butterfly, the fascinating world of bees and many more tiny critters.
Week of June 10th & Aug 19th.


1st – 4th Grades:
These camps run from Monday – Friday from 9:00am – 2:00pm .Pack a lunch!
Camps are designed for children entering 1st and 2nd Grade or 3rd and 4th Grade in Fall 2013.
Children need to be age 6 or 7 on/by June 1st for 1st/2nd grade camps, and age 8 or 9 for 3rd/4th grade camps.

Science Adventurers:
If you are into science, this is the camp for you! Investigate solar and wind energy and discover the wonder of rocks and soil. Explore the fascinating worlds of  plants and animals. Each day investigate new and exciting science topics from Earth’s past or its future. 
1st & 2nd Grades: Week of July 8th, July 29th & Aug. 12th
3rd & 4th grade: Week of June 24th & July 29th

Junior Entomologists:
Fascinated by bugs? Investigate the tiny creatures under our feet and the tricks insects play as you explore the fascinating world of creepy crawlies. Go on a bug hunt, create your own “pet” bug and more in this exciting camp all about bugs!
1st & 2nd Grades: Week of June 17th & August 5th
3rd & 4th grade: Week of  July 15th & Aug 5th 

Arboretum Artists:
Discover the exciting connection between nature, art and science. Explore the beautiful Arboretum and become inspired by nature. Budding artists will create original pieces of art in this camp and will explore the science of art in the nature around them.
1st & 2nd Grades: Week of July 22nd & Aug 19th
3rd & 4th grade: Week of July 22nd


3rd - 5th Grade:
This camp runs  from Monday – Friday  from 9:00am – 3:00pm, with an overnight on Thursday night and is for children aged 8 – 10.

Arboretum / Audubon Overnight Adventure Camp:
Spend Monday through Wednesday exploring the Dallas Arboretum, then spend an adventure-packed Thursday through Friday (including a staff-supervised overnight) at Trinity River Audubon Center, hiking, paddling, fishing, and exploring our amazing North Texas home.
Week of June 17th .. $225 Members / $250 Nonmembers


5th – 8th Grades:
These camps run from Monday – Friday  from 9:00am – 3:00pm . Pack a lunch!
Camps are designed for children entering 5th and 6th Grade or 7th and 8th Grade in Fall 2013.
Children must be age 10 or 11 on/by June 1st for 5th/6th grade camp and 12 or 13 for the 7th/8th grade camp.
Members $190 / Nonmembers $210

Arboretum Mythbusters:
Have you always wanted to be a mythbuster? This week is all about busting or proving popular science myths. Use the laws of physics and chemistry to decide if it is fact or fiction. Perform experiments, build challenges, and use the scientific method to see what you can discover!

5th/6th grade: Week of  June 24th
7th/8th grade: Week of July 15th.
