Spectacular seasonal displays make the Arboretum a popular destination for photographers. Learn how to improve your own skills with these captivating classes.

Local and national award-winning experts help take participant's skills to the next level. Both beginners and advanced photographers are welcome to take part in these informative and inspiring programs.

Whether you are interested in taking better family photos, vacation shots or just documenting the world around you, Scott will show you what you need to know to begin mastering the operations of your SLR camera. Half of the class will be spent learning the functions of your camera. The remaining time will be spent with Scott in the garden applying your new knowledge. Want to get away and immerse yourself in a stunning floral landscape while expanding your photography skills? Then pack your camera bag and get ready to head into the Brenham, Texas countryside with master photographer and former Senior Photography Editor for Southern Living, Allen Rokach, as he takes you on location April 9-12. Whether you’re an experienced shutterbug or just getting your feet wet, Rokach will show you how to capture the spectacle of color as bluebonnets, Indian paintbrush and other wildflowers come into bloom. During field sessions, you will receive in-depth instruction on making the best use of natural light throughout the day. During review sessions, Rokach will emphasize fundamental techniques to create great photos in your camera as well as simple retouching techniques to help make your good pictures look great. You will have the opportunity to photograph at spectacular private locations not open to the public. Supply list and schedule available online. Space is limited.
