Learning at the Arboretum

The Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden has been engaging North Texans of all ages with educational programming for nearly two decades.

The Arboretum makes learning fun for all ages through children's school programming, family events, homeschool and overnight programs, scout badge programs and teacher professional workshops. Our educational programs are enhanced by the inspired and enchanting Rory Meyers Children's Adventure Garden. This eight-acre garden will delight, educate and entertain students and visitors of all ages with 17 interactive galleries to explore. Since it’s opening in the fall of 2013, the Dallas Arboretum has hosted nearly 700,000 students in formal education programs and more than 1,000,000 visitors have walked through our beautiful butterfly gates. We offer on-site and off-site programs for school children and beyond, and all of our classes are hands-on to allow for deeper learning and enjoyment in our one-of-a-kind venue.
