THE ARTISTS' GARDEN
The goal of this residency program is to help strengthen the bond between people and nature as well as the community and the Arboretum. Artists will seek new ways to connect nature with everyday life through their art. Selected Artists will work in the gardens for two months, creating new work based on their experience at the Arboretum. The available exhibition space is intended for artists who wish to create two-dimensional works with a creative approach to interpreting and reacting to the Arboretum's natural environment.
The Artists' Garden will culminate with an exhibit and community activities including talks, tours or a similar outreach program. Applicants may be emerging or established artists living and working in the DFW area.
The application period for 2014 is now closed. Thank you to those who applied this year.
