April 7: World Health Day – Children and adults are invited to learn about fueling their bodies with healthy, natural foods in the Incredible Edible Garden (Rory Meyers Children’s Adventure Garden)
Walne Family Discovery Lab
Daily 10am, 12pm, 2pm & 4pm
The Alan Walne Family Plant Lab is a unique, in-depth opportunity to experience hands on STEM learning in the Exploration Center. Stop by the counter, and try the daily experiments and explorations, led by an experienced Arboretum educator. With multiple chances to learn each day and rotating experiments every week, there’s always something new to learn. (For guests ages 6+)
Seeds Across America: Go on an adventure and travel the country like a seed. Guests will float, fly and get carried away on the wind like seeds from across America.
Weekly STEM Stops
Daily 11am, 1:30pm & 3:30pm
Stop and experience on-the-go STEAM learning in the Children’s Adventure Garden. Join facilitators as they share fun experiments and real scientific specimens to explore that relate to gallery topics. STEM Stops are “come-n-go,” so each experience is guided by the participant.
Spacious Skies: Create a cloud viewer to discover what lies above in the sky.
Amber Waves of Grain: Discover the hidden secrets of the cereal and the grains that make it.
Sea to Shining Sea: Learn about the importance of protecting the water by creating a miniature ocean in a bottle necklace to take home.
Daily 9:30am, 11:30am & 2:30pm
The OmniGlobe is an “out of this world” experience that teaches so many concepts. This six-foot sphere is illuminated by two projectors inside that create expansive images of planets, the sun, the earth’s weather patterns, ocean currents and more. Take a break indoors to enjoy this eye-opening educational journey. (Best for ages 6+)
The Glade Puppet Show
Weekdays at 10:30am
Weekends at 10:30am & 11:30am
The Glade Puppet Show is a fun, interactive performance suited for those ages 8 and younger. Enjoy story times and full performances as children meet Arboretum Andy and other furry friends from around the Children’s Adventure Garden. (Best for ages 8 & under)

Live Science Show
Weekends at 1pm & 3pm
The Live Science Show will blow guests away—literally! Join RMCAG as presenters share exciting STEAM experiments and performances about everything science. Designed for children to adults, the entire family will enjoy this show-stopping adventure.
