Description:

Join us in the Children’s Adventure Garden this weekend as we celebrate Native American Heritage Month and Thanksgiving!

Join us in the Children’s Adventure Garden on November 21 & 22 as we celebrate Native American Heritage Month and Thanksgiving! Enjoy themed STEAM experiments and cultural explorations throughout the galleries from 10am to 4pm.

Learn to create secret messages with cranberries, discover whether your favorite Thanksgiving foods can conduct electricity to play music and stop by the Walne Family Discovery Lab to experiment with fall leaves to see why they change colors. You’ll also be able to learn about the history of how Native Americans excelled at agriculture and tracked animals while creating stories through their prints. Finally, see if you can name indigenous birds of Texas that we see in the fall!

Activities include: Cranberry Code (Plants Are Alive), Electric Eats (Pure Energy), Tracking Animals (Texas Native Wetlands), Fall Fowl (Earth Cycles), Colorful Chromatography (Exploration Center), Walne Family Discovery Lab (suitable for children ages six & up) and Three Sisters Planting (Incredible Edible).

All activities are free & included with Children’s Adventure Garden admission.
