As a gallery host you will share excitement for the garden with our guests and guide them through the interactive exhibits. There are many positions available at the Rory Meyers Children’s Adventure Garden including the Information Booth and the OmniGlobe. The day is divided into two shifts; 9 a.m.-1 p.m. and 1-5 p.m. Volunteers are needed seven days a week and can chose what day and shift works best for them. This is mostly outdoors with some inside opportunities. Training is required.

Other positions available in the Children’s Adventure Garden include puppet show assistants, membership table help and more.

Education is an important focus of the Dallas Arboretum’s mission. Volunteers help us maintain a strong education program for all our child visitors.

Children’s education programming takes place in the spring and fall and includes pre-school and elementary level groups. Summer day camp programs are available as well. Programs are conducted under the leadership of the staff with the assistance of volunteers. Volunteer shifts take place primarily during morning hours on weekdays only. Training is required for some programs.
