The Rory Meyers Children’s Adventure Garden is an 8-acre “museum without walls” designed to reinforce state and national curriculum standards for life and earth sciences for children in preschool through 6th grade.

Learning Galleries

Seven of the Children's Adventure Garden’s learning galleries offer teacher-led classes for school groups, many from very low-performing and high-risk schools. Sponsorship begins at $15,000 to support the education programming for one school year in any of the following learning galleries.

  • Native Texas
  • Pure Energy
  • Habitats
  • Earth Cycles
  • Kaleidoscope
  • Living Cycles
  • Plants are Alive
  • Incredible Edible

Costumed Characters

Eddie the Educated Eagle, Betty the Bee and Stump the Tree appear in the Children's Adventure Garden from time to time to tell visitors about life in their own habitats.

Puppet Theater

Children can stage their own puppet plays on the revolving stage in The Glade.
