Tram Drivers
Tram drivers serve guests at the Dallas Arboretum by providing transportation across the garden to the mobility-impaired and their companions.

Drivers for multiple passenger trams are on duty during normal Arboretum hours and for special events. The primary role of these volunteers is to transport mobility-impaired guests and their companions to and from the tram stop and the various garden entrances. Special training is required for this position along with a valid driver’s license and alert senses. Tram drivers are trained on the layout of the Arboretum gardens and are taught historical information in order to inform guests as they are transported throughout the grounds. Shift times are 9 a.m-1 p.m. and 1-5 p.m. and volunteers are needed seven days a week.
