As Dallas' only concert series overlooking the picturesque White Rock Lake on the award-winning Martin Rutchik Concert Stage and Lawn, concert subscriptions have a history of selling out quickly. Cool Thursdays spring concert series kicks off on March 28 with "Emerald City", Dallas' Favorite Party Band. New additions for 2019 include "King George", A Tribute to George Strait; "Desperado", The #1 Eagles Tribute Band; and "Philip Bauer", The Legend of Johnny Cash.
Spring 2019 Cool Thursdays Concert Series features new bands including, "King George", A Tribute to George Strait and "Desperado", The #1 Eagles Tribute Band. George Strait, "King of Country", is one of the most influential and popular recording artists of all time. King George brings the music of George Strait to audiences with the sights and sound that mimic one of his shows. Desperado was founded in 2002 by lead singing guitarist and keyboardist Aaron Broering, and has become one of the best and most well-known Eagles tributes in the United States. For the past 15 years and counting, Aaron and Desperado have displayed pin-point accuracy and care in delivering a completely live show demonstrating their mastery of the timeless musical and lyrical arrangements of the Eagles.
New bands for the Fall 2019 Cool Thursdays Concert Series include "Honkytonk Bar Association", A Tribute to Garth Brooks; "The Purple Madness", America's #1 Prince Experience Band; and "Philip Bauer", The Legend of Johnny Cash. Inspired by Garth Brooks in the 90s, Shawn Gerhard of Honkytonk Bar Association grew up singing along with his radio to his favorite Garth tunes. He cultivated his silky-smooth vocals while performing in numerous venues throughout the United States and has shared the stage with countless recording artists like Brooks & Dunn, Alan Jackson and Martina McBride.
"The Purple Madness" is the ultimate celebration of the most widely beloved entertainer and profoundly influential artist of all-time. Bobby Miller presents an electrifying performance that can be best described as, high energy and a "must see" performance. Philip Bauer began his entertainment career in 1985. Throughout the 90s, Bauer played in bands performing his own music as well as his many impersonations of various artists. This award winning entertainer was a proud member of the Oklahoma Opry Association. Bauer considers it a blessing to be able to bring the music and memories of Johnny Cash to all his audiences. His show has taken him all across the U.S., Canada, Mexico, New Zealand and Australia.
