Viva! Cinco de Mayo- Fresh Flavors of Mexico- Culinary Demo

Explore Mexican food culture through vibrant flavors of lime, chilies and cilantro that create fabulous, faultless flavor. Enjoy a culinary salute to Mexico with Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, Cindy Kleckner and sample some of her Fiesta favorites like Boudro's Famous Tableside Guacamole.

Chef-Tastic! Tasting Series

See how the pros do it and sample a small bite of the fruits of their labor as well! Renowned chefs, such as P. Allen Smith, take center stage in the demo kitchen at A Tasteful Place, creating special dishes featuring seasonal vegetables from the garden. Registration is required for these free events.

El Centro College Cooking Connection

Presented by the Food & Hospitality Institute at El Centro College

Mondays, 11am-12pm, The Test Pavilion

Participate in a demonstration cooking class, taught by Chef instructors with assistance from students who attend El Centro College’s nationally–recognized culinary institute. This session is designed to refine your kitchen skills and showcasing seasonal produce found in A Tasteful Place. Free to garden guests, thanks to El Centro College, a part of Dallas County Community College District. Check the website regularly for weekly topics.

Guests can try a sample of something fresh that's currently growing in in the garden such as pak choi, cilantro, onion, garlic, brussel sprouts, broccoli, cauliflower, celery and lettuce.
