Education at the Arboretum

The Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden has been engaging North Texans of all ages with educational programming for nearly two decades, making standards-based, hands-on learning fun for everyone.

Our Rory Meyers Children’s Adventure Garden has 17 interactive learning galleries to explore. Since its opening in the fall of 2013, the Dallas Arboretum has hosted nearly 700,000 students in formal education programs and more than 1,000,000 visitors have walked through our beautiful butterfly gates.

You’re Invited to our Educator Open House

Learn about our educational programming here at the Dallas Arboretum while networking and getting inspired by one of the most beautiful spaces in Dallas. Come celebrate fall and the beginning of the school year with educators from all over DFW at our annual Dallas Arboretum Educator Open House. Educators who attend may even take home fabulous door prizes!

This year, we are excited to host the Open House on two dates: 

Educator Open House Family Day

Saturday, October 1st, 9 a.m.-Noon

Register and get up to 3 additional tickets to bring your family to explore the Children’s Adventure Garden. Then head over to the Main Garden to see our world famous Pumpkin Village.

Educator Open House Educator Night

Wednesday, October 5th, 4-7 p.m. 

Network and collaborate with other educators while exploring the Children’s Adventure Garden. Enjoy food and wine while you learn more about what makes us the best field trip for your students. This is an educator-only event. Individual registrations only. Registration is REQUIRED FOR THIS FREE EVENT.
