Outreach Programs
We know that time and transportation can limit your availability to visit the garden, but we can come to you with our Nature Naturally and Auditorium programs! Outreach programs from the Dallas Arboretum will help your students connect classroom learning to the natural world around them. All programs available for Learning Partners funding for DISD campuses.

Available Program Types

Auditorium Programs
A puppet show, costumes and larger-than-life models make these 30-minute interactive programs an experience your students won’t soon forget!

Garden on the Go
We know that many schools are unable to visit the Arboretum, and we have options for you! We offer most of our classroom lab programs – from Pumpkin Circle to Disappearing Act – at your campus.

Science on the Grow
Looking to engage your students in hands-on labs throughout the school year? Our Science on the Grow program offers 4 classroom labs, taught at your campus, for all 3rd, 4th and 5th grade students. These inquiry-based programs are designed to support specific grade level TEKS in all four reporting categories, and, after our first year pilot, results show significant growth in student STAAR success over their district peers! (Read the report here.)

Afterschool Programs
We offer many afterschool programs to allow for students to continually engage their minds, even after the school day is done.
