We Need You to Volunteer!
The Dallas Arboretum Volunteer team consists of over 4,000 volunteers who contribute close to 100,000 hours of service each year. We are one of the top volunteer sites in the nation and we simply could not do what we do without their dedication to service. The Dallas Arboretum offers a variety of opportunities to let you share your talents and pursue your interests.
Who Can Volunteer?
- Teens ages 14 and over
- Adults of any age
- Corporate groups up to 25
- Civic groups
Please note that background checks are required for applicants who are ages 18+ to become a volunteer. Additionally, we are no longer accepting volunteers for court-ordered community service.

Teen Leadership Council Volunteers
The Dallas Arboretum is looking for motivated high school students to join the growing Teen Leadership Council! The mission of the Teen Leadership Council is to develop a dedicated team of teen leaders who volunteer their time and efforts to support the Dallas Arboretum.
Corporate and Student Groups
We welcome corporate and student groups to join us in volunteering at the Dallas Arboretum. Throughout the year, we offer various opportunities for group participation, including volunteering in the Children’s Garden and during the festive Holiday at the Arboretum. Your support is invaluable, and we look forward to having your group in the garden soon.
