Upcoming Events and Activities
Holiday at the Arboretum
November 10–December 31
Holiday at the Arboretum returns with a garden transformed for the magic of the season including the return of our beloved Christmas Village, the 12 Days of Christmas and our Dazzling Musical Tree! We also invite you to visit our historic DeGolyer House, elaborately decorated by renowned designer Michael Hamilton, with a NEW exhibit, The Artistry of Faith & Culture, that celebrates the diversity of the holiday season in our city.
The Artistry of Faith & Culture Exhibit
November 10–December 31
Explore the artistry of the season’s three holidays. The DeGolyer House is elaborately transformed by renowed designer, Michael Hamilton, to celebrate Christmas, Hanukkah, and Kwanzaa in a collaborative community-sourced exhibit. This exhibit prominently features the world holidays that celebrate the diversity of the holiday season in our city. It also highlights the festival of lights, Diwali, which occurs in late October.
#IfThenSheCan – The Exhibit
September 10–December 31
The Dallas Arboretum will present 50 statues from “#IfThenSheCan – The Exhibit,” the largest collection of statues of women ever assembled together. The exhibit will be displayed throughout the Rory Meyers Children’s Adventure Garden. The orange life-size 3D-printed statues are of a diverse coalition of contemporary women STEM innovators and role models. As seen on and around the National Mall and Smithsonian museums earlier this year, this installation highlights how a more diverse and inclusive workforce will strengthen our shared future. IF/THEN® is an initiative of the Lyda Hill Philanthropies designed to activate a culture shift among young girls to open their eyes to STEM careers.
