Holiday at the Arboretum features the return of the magnificent The 12 Days of Christmas outdoor exhibit, as well as 500,000 lights throughout the garden at night, trimming the architecture of the historic homes and lighting the canopies overhead—including a 30-foot-tall tree at the center of property.
The Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden presents Holiday at the Arboretum featuring the return of the magnificent 12 Days of Christmas outdoor exhibit, from November 4 to January 7. The DeGolyer House features a new “Nutcracker Suite” exhibit, with a collection of more than 800 nutcracker figures on display throughout the historical home beginning November 24 through January 7. According to Southern Living, the festival is "one of the South's best holiday experiences."
Experience Dallas’ coolest holiday tradition with a festive stroll through the gardens and revel in The 12 Days of Christmas Exhibit, twelve breathtaking gazebos depicting each day in the beloved Christmas carol. Each gazebo is encased in glass and extravagantly decorated on all sides to provide a dramatic, three-dimensional experience that adds to its "music box" quality, depicting the old English carol from the Victorian era. Watch these magical scenes come to life in each gazebo. Be dazzled by the partridge in a pear tree, discover the hidden creatures hidden within eight maids a-milking and sway along with the “nine ladies dancing” gazebo.
The garden re-opens for evening hours for 12 Days of Christmas at Night exhibit, which is on display Wednesday through Sunday beginning November 8 through December 30. With 500,000 lights illuminating throughout the garden, trimming the architecture of the historic homes and lighting the canopies overhead-including a 30-foot-tall tree at the center of property, this display is sure to warm the hearts of guests this season.
In the historic DeGolyer House lavishly decorated for the holidays, experience “The Nutcracker Suite” collection, sponsored by Amegy Bank of Texas. The historic home transforms into a Christmas wonderland with more than 800 nutcrackers on display. Take a tour during the day or on a chilly Wednesday night. Each room is decorated to allow each guest to feel as though they are dancing through the Nutcracker ballet. The DeGolyer House is open daily from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with guided tours. In special celebration, Restaurant DeGolyer will be open for reservation-only dinners on December 13, 20, 21, 22, 23, 27, 28, 29, 30 at 7 p.m.
