Celebrate summer with hands-on activities that are your PASS to exploring Plants, Art, Sensory, and STEM through the themes of Bunnies, Birds & Butterflies.
Every Friday, Country Critters Petting Zoo joins the fun from 9am–1pm, bringing a variety of farm animals for up-close encounters the whole family will love.
June 5: Hop into a morning of fun with the 1950s Bunny Hop! Explore animal textures with Feathers & Fur painting, craft seed bombs and seed paper, and design nature-inspired creations with BBB pattern blocks in the sensory zone.
June 12: Celebrate Pride with rhythm and color! Join Butterfly Shadow Dancing with ribbon wands, make rainbow suncatchers using color film and tape, explore natural tie-dye, and experiment with color mixing using milk, food coloring, and soap.
June 19: Take flight with a paper airplane contest, build your own birdhouse, and dive into plant science with “Friend or Foe” adaptations. Hands-on fun for the whole family!
June 26: Get moving with classic hula hooping, create vibrant BBB mosaics, make your own seed paper, and explore how birds eat at our “Bird Beak Buffet” sensory activity.
July 3: Catch the fun with Bubble Butterfly Catching! Craft solar bead pattern bracelets, discover nature’s tracks in the garden, and explore symmetry and shapes with BBB-inspired sensory play.
July 4–5 | Family Fun Weekend – Independence Day / America 250: Celebrate summer with patriotic flair! Play at our chess stations, make firework headbands, and explore red, white, and blue plants that show their colors proudly.
July 10–12 | Cultivate Series – House Plants: Get crafty in the House Plant Patterns corner and take a closer look at leaves through our Zooming In on Stomata microscope experience.
July 10: Get in the game with Giant Croquet! Decorate world flag or floral soccer-themed art, discover plants every athlete should know, and make your own DIY stress balls.
July 17: Join us for another round of Giant Croquet! Decorate international-themed flags or floral patterns, explore fruits and veggies from final teams, and craft your own DIY sensory mats.
July 24: Test your balance in an Egg-on-a-Spoon Race and obstacle course, decorate butterfly wings, mix up bunny snacks and butterfly sips, and get creative with shaving cream tie-dye in our sensory lab.
July 31: Dance with butterfly wings and scarves, make a Bunny Footprint Collage, build “Nestled Nests” in our STEM activity, and listen for the sounds of nature with bird call sensory play.
