About This Event
This summer, stop by the DeGolyer House to see Trayscapes: Nature, Nostalgia & the Art of Everyday, a special exhibit featuring some of Seward Johnson’s earliest artwork. These painted trays, created for his family starting in the 1960s, reflect everyday life on his farm in Hopewell, New Jersey. They combine the softness of watercolor with sculptural texture, capturing quiet, familiar moments.
You’ll also see new pieces by Dallas-area artists Alli K, Erin Newton, Taylor Paladino, Alan Smith, and Dustin Vyers, each inspired by Johnson’s storytelling style using everyday objects. Surrounded by summer blooms, Trayscapes offers a refreshing way to experience art and a touch of nostalgia.
Exhibit is included with garden admission. Select pieces will be available for purchase.
